I find the idea that this job requires learning on the fly to be quite comforting. In fact, and I say this entirely earnestly, I find it to be an absolute positive as all that it necessarily means is that I am gaining something through my work. Perhaps the aspect which I find specifically comforting is that I am not expected to know those things which I do not know and I have the option to ask if I am struggling and cannot figure out how to progress in a task. Aside from my project, I will be learning various digital tools, and I also feel comforted knowing that there will be tutorials and documentation specifically made for people like me needing to learn the tool. Finally, as Martha Durrett suggests, The only thing I might experience that could be more satisfying than learning how to do my job is being able to teach others how to do it.
